Launched in autumn 2021, CR451 is an applied research centre, unique of its kind worldwide. Its objective is to produce innovative, actionable knowledge in three fields: economic warfare, information warfare and cognitive warfare in all their forms. <\/p>\n
CR451 aims to produce and disseminate knowledge that will provide a fertile ground for the research community, which still has few reference works in these fields.<\/p>\n
Through its autonomy, creativity and operational memory, CR451 will make it possible to develop approaches and knowledge that are still too timidly leveraged in academic settings and by practitioners. <\/p>\n

Since its creation in 1997, the Ecole de Guerre Economique has undertaken a number of initiatives in the field of applied research in competitive intelligence. This has resulted in a series of initiatives. <\/p>\n
The creation in 2003 of a Research Laboratory in Economic Warfare (LAREGE), whose mission addressed four objectives:<\/p>\n
In 2004, the Institut de recherche en Intelligence Informationnelle and the Ecole de Guerre Economique organised the first edition of the doctoral days in competitive intelligence at the Paris premises of the Institut des Hautes Etudes de S\u00e9curit\u00e9. This experience led to presentations of doctoral students\u2019 work as well as a series of exchanges with research directors, in order to develop the foundations of a new research paradigm. <\/p>\n
From 2006 onwards, EGE organised around ten seminars per year on issues relating to competitive intelligence. These seminars, with a transdisciplinary focus, brought together people from the business world as well as several dozen university professors and senior lecturers. <\/p>\n
In 2019, the launch of a school of thought on economic warfare (EPGE) aims to track the evolution of power relations resulting from the fragmentation of globalised trade and the emergence of new forms of economic expansionism.<\/p>\n
