Informational power dynamics can reach a very high level of complexity. This was the case with the civil war that profoundly impacted Greece between 1944 and 1949. The Second World War generated insurmountable contradictions within Greek society. This resulted in overlapping strategic landscapes, leading to various types of influence strategies and information warfare:
- The attempt to preserve one of the last Western zones of influence of the British Empire;
- The first clashes between the communist bloc and the capitalist bloc;
- The mortal struggle between the communist opposition and the conservative forces in power in Athens;
- The divergences in policy within the communist resistance.
